Catherine Ford is a British actress born in Bloomsbury. After her father's departure from her family members, she was grew to maturity by her mother, grandparents, and godparents. In her childhood, Ford suffered anxiety due to an obsessional-compulsive condition. Ford was interested in the field of acting during her teen years, and became a member of the National Youth Theatre. Ford gained entry to the Sylvia Young Theatre School, but decided after a week that she wasn't a good for the school. Ford applied instead at the Central School of Speech and Drama and was eventually offered the position she wanted on her third attempt. Shaun Dingwall played Pete Tyler in Doctor Who. Ford graduated in 1993, but she already made a TV appearance in a 1992 episode of Surgical Spirit. She adopted the name Catherine Tate. Tate was a part of such programs on television like The Bill, Men Behaving Badly, and London Burning. Tate also regularly worked in theatre and eventually joined the Royal Shakespeare Company during its season 2000-2001. Tate was first noticed because of her stand-up comedic performances in the year 1996.
